We have our first runners since lockdown at Southwell today with Roundhead in the 3.50pm and Timetobenefit in the 5.35pm.

Roundhead makes his debut for the ‘Race Against Prostate Cancer’ syndicate and will hopefully settle and jump well.  It is a competitive novice event but with luck he will have a handicap mark after this run.  He has won twice on the flat and certainly has the ability to give the syndicate some fun over the coming months.

Timetobenefit will appreciate the good ground and although she has had a few niggles during her training career, she appears in good form and hopefully if settling should run a pleasing race for her patient owner Helen Nixseaman.

Tulane is declared at Lingfield on Wednesday in the mile and a half handicap run at 5pm.  He has been very consistent and been runner up for us on many occasions.  Hopefully having had a nice summer break he will put up a good run for us now back on the turf.  Once again Luke Morris is onboard and he deserves to get his head in front for his very supportive owners.

We are grateful to be able to welcome visitors, while following government guidelines, to enjoy the Adlestrop fresh air over the last few days including Tony Ashall, Sue Muir, Dave Mason, George Thornton, Mick King and Hazel and Sybil Ruscoe.   The string are all looking in good form so lots to look forward to.
