Looking forward to running Mattie Ross (pictured) today in the mares bumper at Southwell at 2.05pm.  She ran an excellent second at Ludlow on her debut for us and appears in good form since.  She is up against some useful types but will hopefully once again show promise for her enthusiastic owners, The Zara Syndicate.

A fascinating Royal Ascot as ever with lots of excellent performances.  Delighted for Susan and Barry Hearn in breeding the Gold Cup winner and also my old work mate, Joe Fanning who deserves every victory and is now known as the ‘Irish Cauthen’.

Inevitably the ground played havoc with some but still some thrilling racing.  It was wonderful to see Her Majesty having a sporting day out on Saturday and looking as though she enjoys the ‘gee gees’ more than ‘G7s’.

We have entered a couple of our flat horses for the weekend – Keep It Brief and Flying Dragon and hoping the string continue to run well.
