It was an end of season run from Cosmic King at Warwick on Saturday night.  Ian Popham reported he was never really travelling with his usual zest.  He did a similar thing at Uttoxeter last summer.

Not beaten far in his last race, he definitely has ability and prefers good ground and will undoubtedly strengthen up in time.

Good to welcome Keith and Irene Rogers with friends on Saturday morning as well as Tony Ashall and Caroline Elliott.

It is a quiet time at the yard at the moment with few entries, but we have a small and select string over jumps and on the flat this summer.  Western Storm has been entered at Stratford on Sunday in his first handicap.  A promising fourth last time out at Kempton, he will carry top weight but hopefully there won’t be too much rain at our local track.

Thanks to owner Chris Newport, I was at White Hart Lane yesterday for the last match at the iconic ground.  A great victory of Man Utd following a wonderful season for the Club – the highlight of the afternoon was the introduction of many of Spurs great former players.  Quite a few of our owners are Tottenham fans and we look forward to a great new era once the new stadium has been built and surely it’s only a matter of time before we create our Tottenham racing partnership.
