We had a pleasing work morning on Saturday and it was great to reward Lesser (pictured) with apples and carrots following his impressive victory at Bangor.

We did some schooling with Keep It Brief and Ocho Grande this morning in the presence of owners Ed and Mary Ware, who were on a socially distanced visit on Ed’s birthday.  They were both purchased from the Newmarket Horses in Training sales and they have been pleasing us with their schooling over the last few weeks.  Both horses will hopefully be on the track in the not too distant future.

Keep It Brief is a laid back colt who has shown decent form on the flat and appears to really enjoy his jumping.  Ocho Grande runs for the Race Against Prostate Cancer syndicate of which Ed is a member.  He looks to have taken to the jumping game well and hopefully will provide a lot of entertainment of the next few months.

Great to watch Cheltenham on the tv at the weekend.  Delighted to see trainer Michael Winter win the Caspian Gold Cup with Chatham Street Lad.  The great Cork man is wonderfully entertaining and typifies many of the brilliant characters of the jumping game.  Seeing him rolling in the mud on ITV on Saturday, was a delight and may he roll in the mud at Cheltenham for many years to come.
