Definitely a chillier morning in our beautiful village and cantering exercise continues for some of the string. The overnight rain won’t do the grass any harm as long as it warms up during the week.

Thank you for all the wonderful Easter messages. This year’s Easter egg hunt was once again a very competitive affair and once again assistant trainer Hannah Gregory was victorious thanks to her sniffer dog tendencies when it comes to chocolate.

I can’t remember the last time I spent Easter Sunday gardening, as I’m normally at Plumpton exploiting Peter Savill’s hospitality.  However I look forward to my efforts paying off in months to come and sad that it will not be able to be opened to the public this year.

The attached photograph is from my reflective walk yesterday.
