Delighted with Lesser’s wonderful win at Kelso on Wednesday.  Given a fine ride by Danny, he jumped and travelled well throughout and galloped the opposition into the ground for an impressive victory.  He looks a horse of great promise and he will now have a summer holiday before going chasing later in the year.

We pulled Master Vintage out at Warwick on Saturday with the ground going heavy and have now entered him at Uttoxeter on Saturday in the hope the ground will ride better there.

We have two runners at Newton Abbot on Wednesday with Present From Dubai in the handicap chase and Pop Mistress in the mares bumper.

Present From Dubai has made a good start to his chasing career, jumping well on each occasion.  Hopefully he will be competitive now dropping down the handicap following his hurdle victories last year.

Pop Mistress is an athletic daughter of Sixties Icon out of a winning mare over hurdles and fences.  A home-bred of Bob and Pauline Scott’s, she goes nicely at home and hopefully will show some promise for her patient syndicate, the Goodwood Owners Drinks Session.

It’s that time of year when horses start to go on their holidays.  It was great to welcome Colin and Gwenda Pocock today, to take Shadow Walker home for his annual break.  Lunch was paid for with the winnings from this year’s Five to Follow Competition which was won by Jenson The Dog and Colin.
