Madame Ritz missed the break

Madame Ritz over anticipated the start at Wolverhampton yesterday and missed the break in the six furlong handicap.  Adam Kirby then blamed himself for setting her alight following this and she ran too freely in behind a wall of horses.  She stayed on at one pace in the straight to be beaten about six lengths by the winner in a competitive event.

I am sure under different circumstances she would have been a lot closer but in sprints you don’t have a lot of time to recover.  I am sure she will be back on the winning trail again soon.

Another drying morning in Adlestrop with the spring cantering away in preparation for tomorrow’s work morning.  Delighted to hear the first skylark at the top of the gallops.  Good to firm ground and watering are just around the corner.

I have spent the last couple of days putting my horses to follow lists together for the various competitions I enter for the coming flat season.  Have made a note of the horses I left out as they normally do better.  An exciting season ahead and delighted that Adlestrop has a few more flat horses to go to war with his season.
