Ludlow runners round up

Timetobenefit ran well in the two mile novice hurdle at Ludlow yesterday, beaten about 20 lengths by the winner.  She jumped and ravelled nicely but did not have the pace to keep up with the leaders in the straight.  However hopefully in handicap company she will hopefully fair better.

Present From Dubai was a bit free early on in the bumper and probably got into the race a bit too soon, having been up with the leaders turning for home.  He tired in the straight in what was a very hot bumper and I am sure he will be fine once he goes novice hurdling in the New Year.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Irish handicapper Noel O’Brien.  Noel was always great company, enthusiastic, witty and smiley and considering his job was a difficult one, he was immensely popular.  Racing is a lesser sport for his death.
