Iron Horse runs at Warwick today

The rains have come to Adlestrop and hopefully they have reached Warwick racecourse too for Iron Horse,  who runs at 6.10pm.

Many of the string are on holiday but we still have a few to run and they worked well this morning.

We have entered Big Fiddle at Southwell on Tuesday in the mares bumper but again, we will need some rain for her to run.

Very much looking forward to the Derby.  The ground has gone against my fancy, The Pentagon and I’m trying to work out which of the O’Brien camp could finish in the first three at a big price.

Disturbing to hear that there was an altercation at Salisbury racecourse on Saturday night.  A group of young men under the influence, were behaving in an ungentlemanly manner and were taken on by trainer Eve Johnson-Houghton.

You would not need a breathalyser to test whether they had been drinking alcohol, as they must have been drunk to even think about taking on Eve.

I have know Eve for over three decades and you only have to look at her dam’s side to know that generation after generation, they are not the type to take on if you wish to win a battle.

Good on you Eve on setting the standards.
