In these times, the VE Day celebrations will obviously be curtailed.  However with the way the world has changed over the last few months, it’s rememberance seems more poignant.

Hopefully we can all look forward to VC Day – Victory Over Covid.  Until then, we must remember all those that have sadly lost their life in such wars.

For those like myself who had parents in World War II who were fortunate enough to survive, we can only imagine their joy and celebration seventy five years ago.

As we prepare for two minutes silence, here in Adlestrop we will listen to all the birds of Oxfordshire and Gloucesershire singing to that victory.
