Horses and humans are both enjoying the sunny weather at Adlestrop.  We are quiet on the runners front but we have Organdi entered for next week.

It was great to be a guest of Laurence Robertson MP last night at the House of Commons for the ‘All Party Racing Committee charity Dinner’.  It is always an entertaining evening with many racing people in attendance.  In these changing times, it’s always important to keep MPs from all sides in the loop when it comes to racing’s challenges.

This year the dinner raised money for racing’s smallest but very popular charity, Racing to School.  The organisation encourages school children to visit racecourses and learn about the sport and at the same time improve their knowledge and maths.  Hopefully this will encourage a new generation into the game.  My former assistant Gordon Clarkson, along with former jockeys Robert Bellamy and Ollie McPhail are employed to do just that and long may the charity prosper.
