The string continue to look in great form as we step up their cantering work, whilst others come in to start their walking exercise.

A great weekend of racing to look forward to with the Derby and Oaks tomorrow and the Eclipse on Sunday.

Love was the most impressive winner of the Guineas and will take all the beating.  Franky Darling was impressive at Royal Ascot, however possibly the value bet is another O’Brien runner Ennistymon who was runner up to the Gosden filly at Ascot but should improve from that effort.

The Derby is a fascinating affair.  English King was so impressive at Lingfield and I immediately went to back him for this race as he passed the line.  However the value has gone.  Kameko the Guineas winner will have a hell of a chance if staying, whilst there is confidence behind Ryan Moore’s runner Mogul.

As tipped on my blog some weeks ago at 40-1, Vatican City has the pedigree and profile of a very decent horse and was staying on very well when second in the Irish 2000 Guineas.

Victories for Pyledriver or Highland Chief would be great for the game, however I’ve had a sneaky each way bet on Max Vega at big prices.  He will benefit from any rain that arrives tomorrow morning and won the Zetland impressively last back end.  He was fifth in the classic trial at Kempton at the beginning of June but conditions would not have suited and the form of the race is working out well.

On Sunday it will be wonderful to see Enable win another Eclipse.  The main dangers are Ghaiyyath and Japan.  The latter is sure to come for his Royal Ascot run and he could well give her the most trouble.
