Mighty Elsa travelled and jumped well to the straight at Doncaster today but found the ground not to her liking.  Like her mother and her grandmother, I am sure she will be better on good ground and will probably need a further distance as well and she certainly has the scope to jump fences in the future.

Timetobenefit is declared in the three mile one handicap hurdle run at 2.50pm at Huntingdon on Sunday.  She has shown enough ability in the past to be competitive in such an event, however I think she would appreciate better ground.  With very few other options around at present, we will let her take her chance and she is certainly well handicapped on her previous form.

Many thanks to those who supported our Adlestrop Club Question Of Sport last night.  We had a great turn out and special thanks to our celebrity panel, especially our captains, Mark Pougatch, Jeff Stelling and Sybil Ruscoe.

Pougatch came out on top narrowly from the Stelling team who had a nightmare on the round devoted to the history of the BBC’s Question of Sport programme.

We launched our charity syndicate last night that Steve Cockell and I have created in order to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.  The horse Roundhead will be running in the ‘Race Against Prostate Cancer’ colours until the New Year and many thanks to those who have signed up to the cause already.  Especially our great friend Eve Johnson-Houghton who once again showed what a legend she is by joining in on the fun.

Another legend Jeff Stelling who has done so much for the charity, gave us an inspiring speech before proceedings began and we look forward to having some great fun with Roundhead for the rest of the year.  Details are HERE.

Happy birthday to Barnsy who is 84 today – the living miracle continues!
