Muthabir came with a winning challenge two out, last night at Market Rasen but was one-paced from the last to finish a fair fourth. Ian Popham said he was a bit flat and he will now have a well-deserved holiday before coming back for the late summer to take advantage of his favoured good ground.
Although Market Rasen is a bit of a drive from Adlestrop, the course looked after us very well and it is well worth a visit if you have not been.
Off to Chepstow later to saddle Brave Helios in the 6.30pm It will be interesting to see how he gets on with the better ground.
Another wonderfully exciting contest at Punchestown yesterday with Unowhatimeanharry just holding off Nicholls Canyon in the Stayers Hurdle.
Hopefully the excitement will continue today with the Champion Hurdle. My Tent Or Yours is favourite and deserves to win a big one but with Petit Mouchoir and the Mullins camp having a strong hand, money is on for him to come second again bless him.
