Iron Horse ran a very satisfactory debut over fences at Doncaster this afternoon, finishing fifth in a competitive event.

The race was quite incident packed with a couple of loose horses causing problems, however the experience will have done Iron Horse plenty of good.  Hopefully he will quicken up his jumping with more practice as he has self-preservation attitude and we may possibly put the cheek pieces back on for his next run now he has had his debut.

Ultimately he should stay further as he was staying on nicely after the last today and I am sure there is plenty of fun to be had with him over the bigger obstacles.

Looking forward to attending Cheltenham tomorrow for Festival Trials day.  The Cotswold Chase looks particularly interesting with Santini heading the market and Bristol De Mai being highest rated.  I will be interested to see how Slate House gets on, as I believe he may be improving but has a bit to find at the ratings.
