With the ground soft at Cartmel, Organdi will not make the trip north this weekend and she’ll now head to Uttoxeter on the 4th September.
Beautiful People has been entered at Fontwell on Thursday – a track she won on last season. She’s taken time to come to hand this summer, however she’s in good form now and will hopefully make up for lost time.
Danny schooled Master Vintage this morning in preparation for Worcester next Wednesday. He’s rather keen to say the least but hopefully the track will suit him.
I went to Stratford races yesterday afternoon with owner Keith Rogers and family. Keith very generously purchased a day behind the scenes at the course at Ladies Day at Royal Adlestrop.
Stratford looked after us royally and it was fascinating to see commentator David Fitzgerald and racecourse judge David Hicks at work. Many thanks to all that made the day such a special one for all.
Enable gained a round of applause from the Stratford crowd, with the Yorkshire Oaks being shown live on the big screen. As stated before, ever since I saw her in the paddock for the Epsom Oaks, I have been a huge admirer. A wonderful stride and loppy lugs, hopefully she can go and win a third Arc and be remembered as one of the greats of the turf.
