What a wonderful performance by Stradivarius. Like many I am a huge fan of staying races on the flat and the winner epitomises all that is good about that division. So good to see a horse stay in training for longer and keep on improving and look forward to him hopefully running in the Arc and proving what a versatile performer he is.
Excellent to see Jim Crowley riding so many winners as he is a good man who has shown great dedication to his sport.
The ground is now soft at Ascot and it will be difficult picking winners but getting the trip will be essential in such conditions. Mother Earth could keep the Ballydoyle two-year-old band wagon going in the Albany and Eye Of Heaven looks the one to beat in the Norfolk.
Morando will love the conditions in the 3pm, whilst in the Commonwealth Cup Lope Y Fernandez should go well having performed with great credit in the Irish 2000 Guineas. Whilst Berkshire Rocco can win the Queen’s Vase again for the Balding team and give Derby fancy, English King a form plug.
