A busy and windy morning at Adlestrop as Storm Eunice begins to kick in.  We took Run Rosie Run to have an overground scope this morning and hopefully following surgery, she will be able to fulfil her undoubted potential.

Robin Des Smoke was unable to run at Sandown yesterday due to lameness which was extremely disappointing for all concerned.  Hopefully she will recover soon having shown us so much promise in her novice hurdles.

Quiet on the runners front next week but hoping to have entries next weekend.

It was great to have a visit from our local Racing Welfare Officer, Jessica Kelsall yesterday.  Delighted that visits to yards are now getting back to normal following the pandemic.  Racing Welfare do a fantastic job for all in the racing industry and help staff with any problems they may have.  Long may this good work continue and we look forward to raising money for them in the future.

Very sad news of the passing of owner and Adlestrop Club devotee, Clive Wale.  Clive was a larger than life character who first had a share in our popular chaser King Jack.  Many will know him as the brilliantly efficient and charismatic barman at Uttoxeter and Towcester racecourses.  Whilst in latter years he has worked on various racecourses at the Tote.

Always enthusiastic and jolly, especially when acting as goal keeper at our Royal Adlestrop events, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him and our thoughts and prayers are with his wonderful family at this time.
