Mattie Ross won the bumper at Newton Abbot in fantastic style on Monday.  Having walked the course with Danny, we were able to select the best ground available and she travelled smoothly before challenging in the straight for a comfortable success.

Delighted for all The Zara Syndicate and her breeders Bob and Pauline Scott.  She will now have a break and come back in the autumn for a hurdling campaign and we look forward to her continuing to give everyone much fun and success.

With the ground on the heavy side, we took Organdi out of the handicap hurdle and she will now head for at Uttoxeter on the 25th.

Off to Newbury today to saddle Keep It Brief in the 3.55pm.  He will carry a five pound penalty and Royal Ascot winning jockey, Laura Pearson rides him and claims five pounds.  He is due to go up ten pounds in the handicap for his Kempton win, which is rather severe but James Doyle did apologies at the time saying he probably needed some wing mirrors and the Sunbury track.  Let us hope the handicapper is correct and that the ground at Newbury is not drying out too much.
