Cosmic King is declared in the 6pm at Warwick tomorrow evening with Ian Popham onboard.  It is a competitive event but he is a horse that has always shown promise.  Hopefully the rain won’t get into the ground as he definitely prefers a sound surface and on this occasion, we have left off his hood.

Putting a few more horses on holiday at present hoping to take advantage of the May grass.  Pleased with the way our breeze up two-year-olds (Havana Gold filly pictured) have settled in and looking forward to some action on the flat this summer, as well as a few jumpers who like the firm ground.

Have enjoyed Chester this week.  Doubt if we saw the Derby winner yesterday in the Chester Vase but as Ballydoyle shuffles it’s pack, it will be interesting to see how Cliffs Of Moher gets on today.  There is a good word for their runner in the Lingfield Derby Trial tomorrow, Sir John Lavery.

Also in that race is one of my horses to follow, Tartini – who is a son of Giants Causeway and from an excellent family.  Having witnessed his Nottingham maiden win as a two-year-old, he had trouble in running when fourth at Epsom and the step up in trip should suit with Frankie Dettori onboard.
