Last evening Team Adlestrop were delighted to attend the online announcment of the Lycetts Team Champion Awards 2020.  We once again reached the final in our category, attaining three stars and gold accreditation.

We also received two special awards for excellence. The awards were for ‘Diversity’ and ‘Leadership’ and the team were particularly delighted to receive these for as many will know, the diversity of our staff here at Adlestrop has been at the forefront of our thinking for some time.

Particular mention was made of how we celebrate Diwali, Eid and Christmas together and through understanding each other’s cultures, there has been much respect and humour.

The leadership award was partly due to our close connection with Heros charity and all it does to help young people to come into the industry.  Team Adlestrop are convinced that such initiatives are vital in order to expand it’s workforce and flagship the enormous benefits of racehorses with human’s mental health.

Congratulations to Dan Kubler’s team for winning the category for trainers with forty horses or less.  They are worthy winners and they put forward a brilliant Team Champion Award entry.  Also congratulations to all at Jackdaws Castle, with Jonjo O’Neill’s yard winning the over forty horses category.  This year’s competition was fierce and standards have raised considerably over the three years the Awards have been running.

All at Team Adlestrop are proud of being finalists for the last two years and we look forward to doing everything we can to ensure we finally gain victory in 2021.

Congratulations and thanks to all involved in this splendid initiative.
