It was good to get three runners out and about at Kempton yesterday at the all-weather ‘jumpers bumpers’ card.

Both Robin Des Smoke and Minella Whisper ran well for owner Lizzie Prowting in their respective races.  I am sure ‘Smokey’ will appreciate going over jumps when conditions allow, as she really enjoys her jumping.  Whilst we look forward to going chasing with ‘Whisper’ who was not beaten far in a competitive affair.  Hopefully both outings will put them spot on for their next assignments.

Muthabir (pictured) travelled along behind the leaders for much of his race and although unable to quicken with the leaders, he stayed on in the last furlong and probably would have gone round again without much problem.  Once again, we look forward to him going over hurdles when the ground dries for The Adlestrop Club.

We have made a few entries for next week in the hope that racing goes ahead and the frost goes out of the ground, with both Keep It Brief and Mrs Barnes entered in novice hurdles.

With Cheltenham not far away, delighted that this year’s Adlestrop Club Cheltenham Preview will take place on Zoom on Monday 8th March at 7pm.  John Francome, Sam Twiston-Davies and Phil Smith have once again kindly agreed to give their informed opinions over the four days.  We are delighted this year they will be joined by Alice Plunkett who has been a great mate for many years and is an integral part of the ITV racing team.  With March 8th being International Women’s Day – we are delighted to celebrate with Alice agreeing to join us.

The Preview will be exclusively for Adlestrop Club members only.  If you are not a member and would like to join, please find further details HERE.
