All at Adlestrop Stables are delighted with Lesser’s impressive performance in the bumper at Bangor today.  Although only five runners, it was a competitive event and Lesser quickened up well on pretty testing ground to go away from the opposition and win by a decisive 11 lengths.

Danny bided his time off a slow pace early on, before delivering him in the straight and said that he responded well under pressure and possibly would improve for better ground and a more galloping track.

We will probably now take him over hurdles in the New Year and ultimately he is a staying chaser in the making.  Congratulations to his owners The C Level Partnership, headed by yard sponsor Martin Harvey – who selected him at the Cheltenham January sales after he was an impressive winner of a point-to-point.  We look forward to more success ahead.

As everyone in racing will know it is a tough game and this morning promising novice, Islandray had to be put to sleep.  He suffered a leg fracture on the gallops a couple of weeks ago and unfortunately the fracture was found to be significantly worse this morning.

Very sad news for all concerned.  His owners, the Carbine Of London Racing syndicate are a knowledgeable and wonderful group and had been looking forward to him realising his potential following some promising runs in novice hurdles.

He was a very popular horse who had a wonderful temperament.  All concerned are comforted with the knowledge he had a great life and was well loved throughout his time here in Adlestrop.
