Everyone at Adlestrop Stables is delighted with Picanha’s victory at Warwick yesterday.  Given a fine ride by Tabith Worsley, he settled well early on before travelling nicely through the field turning for home and stayed on well after the last in a competitive maiden hurdle.  So pleased for owner Lizzie Prowting who was able to be there, as she has been so patient with Picanha.  He is maturing into a lovely horse and looks every inch a potential three mile chaser.

We will see how comes out of the race before deciding on his next outing but hopefully he will continue to progress and give us many more great days.

Organdi ran a fine race considering the ground went against her at Taunton.  She was only beaten seven lengths by the winner having jumped well throughout the contest.  The experience would have done her no harm and we will now give her a winter break and look forward to her competing in some decent staying chases next year.

Avion is declared in the bumper at Southwell on Sunday.  Home-bred by owner Sue Welch, he has been a late maturing type but like his mother he gallops well at home and delighted that Danny Hiskett is back from injury and able to take the ride.
