Coyaba to run at Exeter tomorrow

We have declared Coyaba in the 2.40pm at Exeter tomorrow with Ian Popham onboard. He ran well in a couple of charity races last year and has good form in bumpers and hurdles. The trip might be a little on the short side for him but it will be a good starting point for the season and he will make a fine chaser in the future and hopefully give a lot of success and fun to owner Lizzie Prowting.

The front page of the Racing Post today features the devastating rise in business rates that will affect all trainers. As many will know, especially my accountant, training is a labour of love and it’s always sad when legislation stifles small businesses rather than encourage them. Hopefully the powers that be will see sense.
