Aintree races followed by the sales today
Off to Aintree today as have kindly been invited by owner Alan Halsall for lunch in his box. Alan is a director of Aintree and his son Ben, was a pupil assistant at Adlestrop Stables in the past.
It looks like an excellent day of racing and good luck to Guy Disney who has his first ride over the national fences in the Foxhunters.
After racing, there is a sale of quality point-to-pointers who hopefully will have the potential to perform at the top level. Looking forward to being there and hopefully we can come home with a good one.
Last night I was a guest of owner Ed Ware on his table at the Moorcroft Charity Quiz. It is always a fun event that has been run for many years, raising money for the retraining of racehorses centre in Sussex.
As ever there were some pretty obscure questions that my fellow team members, Michael Bell and Jamie Spencer also struggled with. However we finished mid div and congratulations to the winners who happened to include this year’s sponsors, ARC.
