A visit to Heros

Over Stated ran well for much of his race yesterday at Southwell before getting tired jumping three out.  This could probably be put down to us being held up with snow last week and I am sure he will come on for it fitness wise.

He travelled and jumped well until that point, on what was pretty testing ground and I am sure he will come into his own when jumping a fence.

On Saturday it was great to be a guest of Tim Hailstone in his box at Cheltenham.  It was good to catch up with a few owners on what was a great day of racing, apart from the very sad demise of Starchitect.

Anyone in racing will have great sympathy for all concerned. Thankfully these incidents are very rare.

Following a mornings work it was good to go to Heros, a rehabilitation of racehorses charity near Wantage at lunchtime.   Fronted by Grace Muir, the charity does a great job of rehoming racehorses and a few from Adlestrop who have needed a new beginning have found one thanks to the charity.

Time Wise is at Heros at present learning new skills to be rehomed and it was great to take her owners there to see her in action.

We were also treated to a tour of the premises which is also supporting an education programme for potential racing staff.  All at Adlestrop look forward to supporting them in this venture.
