A great visit to Bourton Vale Equine Clinic
As the ground dries up, we schooled some horses this morning to take advantage of the good ground while we have it. All jumped well over fences and hurdles and looking forward to running a few on better ground very shortly.
The Adlestrop Club had an excellent visit to Bourton Vale Equine Clinic yesterday afternoon. We were shown around the incredible facilities and given a very interesting talk on fetlock fractures and prepping horses for surgery.
All the staff excelled themselves in making us very welcome and treated us to a fantastic afternoon tea as well.
Like many in the area, we are very lucky to have such an excellent facility so close to us but let’s hope we don’t have to use it too often.
Thanks to all who made the visit so enjoyable.
I watched the television coverage of the Grand National for the first time in many years, as I normally attend or have runners elsewhere on the day. Well done to all at ITV for such an entertaining programme.
Ed Chamberlin did a great job of leading the team and the feature on Esha Ness was excellent. However hopefully I won’t be watching it next year and will be going there with a live chance.
Another excellent programme on ITV last night on the Queen’s love of trees. Walking around Buckingham Palace garden with Sir David was special televison.
Two remarkable people that will not be replaced.
Not surprised that the Queen was helped in her Commonwealth project by one of the country’s finest MPs, Frank Field. Another special person who again will be very difficult to replace.
