A constructive morning
A very constructive morning here in Adlestrop with the string looking in good form with the sun out on a warm autumn morning.
We have entered Beautiful People at Stratford on Monday in the amateur riders handicap hurdle. A course she has run well on before and hopefully she can finally get her head in front for her enthusiastic syndicate.
As ever looking forward to the Arc on Sunday. I have been a huge fan of Enable since I saw her in the paddock for the Epsom Oaks. However heavy rain on the way will not help her with this race at the end of a long season.
Hoping Ulysses can win it as he is in my horses to follow competition and would give me valuable points, as would Order Of St George. Some say Ulysses won’t get the trip but I think the style in which the Arc is run will suit, as long as J Crowley can avoid trouble.
All in all a fascinating weekend coming up with Newmarket staging some fascination two-year-old events. It will be interesting to see how Sands Of Mali runs in Middle Park having won the Gimcrack. He was a standout at the Ascot Breeze-Up sale early in the year and has some stride on him. I wish we could have afforded him.
