J Gaye ran a super race in the fillies maiden at Lingfield on Friday.  Given a fine ride by Rab Havlin, she travelled well and stayed on nicely up the straight.  Rab said she would be a better filly in the second half of the season and hopefully there is a nice prize or two in her.  Being by Canford Cliffs, she should make a nice hurdler as well and hopefully everyone’s patience will be rewarded.

It was great to attend the Cheltenham Hunter Chase meeting on Friday evening where a few of us got together to discuss a new project for the yard – the Alastair Down Racing Club.

Racing’s greatest writer is a great supporter of Adlestrop Stables and we are in the process of organising a syndicate headed by the great man.  Anyone who would be interested, please do not hesitate to be in touch as it looks like a very exciting project in the making.

A busy Saturday morning with lots of owners visiting to see some gallop action as we prepare to have runners over the next week or so.
