With a break from jump racing for a few days we just have J Gaye entered at Lingfield on Friday but hopefully a few more to campaign the week after and into May.

Congratulations to Jagat on his victory in our five to follow competition.  Jagat has been a valued member of the team for many years and his shrewd selections led him to a decisive victory in this year’s competition.  Susanna Munro was second and Sue Jones and Connor Skrine were joint third.

Many thanks to all who took part and as ever, we hope it created some fun over the season.

It was great to welcome members of The Firebirds syndicate to the yard this morning in Ally Ainslie, Simon Ponsford and John Benbow.  Their horse Madame Ritz is on the come-back trail having split a pastern last year.  Hopefully she will make up for lost time in the coming months.

All three have the unfortunate experience of working with my former assistant Gordon Clarkson.  Luckily this has not scarred them too much and we look forward to further success together.

Delighted to welcome visitors from Newlands of Stow Care Home this morning.  Hopefully they had an enjoyable time watching the horses exercise and they also had a guided tour of the village, which as many of you know has a fascinating history.

This year’s Adlestrop Open Day and Fun Dog Show is on Sunday 9th June.  Please do come along for what is sure to be a very enjoyable day.  The Facebook page for the event is https://www.facebook.com/AdlestropOpenDay/
