We so nearly ended the season on a winning note with Iron Horse running a cracker at Chepstow on Friday evening.  With Tom Bellamy stuck in traffic, Danny Hiskett took the ride and Iron Horse jumped and travelled very well throughout but was out gunned by the well handicapped favourite going towards the last.

Our home bred still rallied after the final flight and was well clear of the third.  Hopefully the handicapper wont be too harsh on him and he looks like a chaser in the making so hopefully the Somedays Here Racing Partnership will be rewarded for their enormous patience in the seasons ahead.

Lady Of Authority also ran a splendid race at Wolverhampton on Saturday evening under Georgia Dobie.  She travelled well before finding interference turning for home but was finishing very strongly and hopefully she will be winning again for us soon.

Delighted to be a guest of owner Ed Ware at yesterday’s Racing Welfare charity golf day at Woburn.  I joined Ed’s other trainers Michael Bell and Oliver Sherwood in a fun four ball.

Mr Bell was concentrating hard on his five runners throughout the round and was particularly excited about his Derby hope, Eagles By Day who sluiced up in the maiden at Salisbury.  Although we didn’t win the competition, we looked as though we had the most fun and once again money was made for a super cause.
