Work morning today and all went well as we prep horses for some runners next week, including Iron Horse and Bella’s Vision.

Looking forward to the flat string coming together as well, now that the flat season is getting going.

The Craven meeting is always a fascinating one with lots of Classic clues.  Pleased my horses to follow got off to a winner with Kick On winning for the Gosden camp yesterday.  Qabala looked impressive in the Nell Gwyn and looks a Guineas type.

I went to see Giovanna’s Blue Bresil foal at Batsford Stud yesterday.  Brian Duckett and I share Giovanna with Sue Welch and she’s breeding some nice types.  Her latest colt looks very nice and is by a leading jumps stallion and will hopefully fetch a few quid at the foal sales.

We have her six-year-old first born by Kayf Tara here at Adlestrop, who has done nothing but grow but is showing promise at home, while her second foal, Back On The Lash has won a bumper and a novice hurdle and runs at Cheltenham today.

Hopefully she will be visiting Jack Hobbs soon.
