An excellent work morning with the string appearing in good form.  It was good to get a few of the youngsters going and showing promise with their homework.

Pleased to see the rain come at Sandown for Totterdown who is entered in the Imperial Cup on Saturday.  He has good course form on soft ground and handles conditions well.

It was great to attend the Carbine Club Cheltenham Preview evening at the Oxo Tower last night.  A very entertaining evening and good to join owners Bob and Pauline Scott and Alan Halsall on the table.

An impressive venue with both Paul Nicholls and Bryony Frost giving entertaining talks on their career.  Neither had notes and their passion for the game is not to be questioned.

Once again, I joined JA McGrath and Nick Luck for a Cheltenham Preview and JA gave his normal phantom call in entertaining style.  The ‘Croc’ has been fiercely accurate lately in both Gold and Melbourne cups for the Club and this year believes Presenting Percy will just get the better of Native River up the hill.

Delighted the Carbine Club have set up a racing syndicate to have a jumper at Adlestrop and a flat horse with George Baker.  The syndicate includes some great racing figures and we look forward to some fun and success over the next couple of seasons with both horses.
