A fairly routine morning in Adlestrop with some stalls work and the sun shining. It was great to welcome Charlie Allan and John Goldsmith to the gallops who both attended last night’s Adlestrop Club Cheltenham Festival Preview.
Many thanks to all who made the evening such a success, especially our wonderful panellists and Bet Connect for sponsoring. The Cotswold Club looked after us very well and hopefully we have raised some good money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity in memory of Hugh McIlvanney.
Lots of interesting nuggets of information surfaced during the evening and thanks to the generosity of Corals, the panel’s charity bets are as follows:
Alastair Down – Bacardys £50 each way in the Stayers Hurdle
Phil Smith – Ruby Walsh to be Festival leading jockey £100 win
Simon Clare – Lost In Translation £100 win in JLT
Tom Bellamy – Al Dancer £100 win in Supreme Novices
Gordy Clarkson – Lisnager Oscar £100 win Albert Bartlett
Neil McMinnies – Top Notch £100 win Ryanair
Richard Phillips – Defi Du Seuil £100 win JLT
