Quiet on the runners front this week.  Big Fiddle was a distant third at Doncaster on Friday having got detached from the two decent mares in opposition off the home bend.

Despite having very little to race with, we will check her wind out this week as she has had a previous operation.

It was good to welcome plenty of owners on the gallops on Saturday morning before heading off to Newbury for the Greatwood lunch as a guest of owner Bunny Roberts.

It’s always good to support the charity and good to catch up with N Henderson and legendary vet M O’Gorman.

Returned to the racecourse yesterday morning to take Viva Rafa and Shadow Walker for a racecourse gallop.  Shadow Walker is a promising five-year-old purchased at the Goffs May sale in 2017.

He is eligible for the Sales bumper at Newbury on the 23rd March and we thought we’d give him a bit of racecourse experience in case we take up the option.

Owners Colin Pocock and Keith Rogers both came along to watch and it was good to observe other horses working on the course yesterday.

I saw Might Bite, Santini and On The Blind Side school and work.  Took the 16’s On The Blind Side for the RSA Chase whilst driving home.
