Many congratulations to Jedd O’Keefe’s team for winning yesterday’s Lycetts Team Champion Award for yards with 40 horses or less.

Undoubtedly worthy winners led by Jedd and his amazing wife Andrea, who also won the Community Award at the Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards last week.

However ‘Team Phillips’ did themselves proud and I know that we were not far away from winning the prize.  Many thanks to Lycetts, the Racing Foundation and the NTF for supporting this great initiative.

The award helps in creating a better working environment for racing staff and this can only help the industry.  Very pleased that Jo, Hannah, Megan and Danny were all able to go to London to attend the presentation yesterday and all at Adlestrop can be proud of their huge effort with achieving three stars and reaching the final.

Already the team are coming up with many ideas to try and win the award next year.

Off to Doncaster today to saddle Big Fiddle in the 4.20pm.  There are only three runners but we have stiff opposition, however hopefully we will find out a bit more about our mare today.

Aiden Coleman who rode her in a bumper earlier in the season takes the ride and we look forward to her progressing further as she is from a lovely jumping family from owner breeder, Bunny Roberts.

With Welsh Grand National winner Fiddling The Facts being her grandmother, I expect a step up in trip will be required soon.
