Master Vintage ran a cracker to be second on his chasing debut at Huntingdon yesterday. Travelling and jumping with aplomb, he stayed on well up the straight narrowly missing out on victory. Hopefully he will give the Club many more fun days in the future.
Two runners tomorrow with Organdi and Lady Of Authority.
Organdi runs at Taunton in the two and a half mile novice hurdle. She ran well over hurdles on her debut at Ludlow up against the boys and takes on her own sex tomorrow in what is a competitive little event with Danny Hiskett onboard.
Lady Of Authority runs over course and distance that she won on in November. We are claiming seven pounds off tomorrow by putting up promising young jockey Georgia Dobie, who is attached to Eve Johnson Houghton’s yard.
What a fantastic day of sport on Saturday with lots of Cheltenham clues. Well done to the Bradstocks for making the decision to retire Coneygree. I had heard he had been in great form before his race on Saturday and it was great for him to bow out in the way that he did.
He gave racing a very exciting day when he won the Gold Cup and he has been a real family horse.
