Great news that racing is now back on and hopefully we look forward to having runners at the weekend when our test results have come back.

We have been able to carry on as normal exercise wise with the horses and let’s hope things get back to normal pretty soon.  Much of the string have been cantering this morning in preparation for some faster work tomorrow.  We have also done some filming for the Lycetts Team Champion Awards that we are finalists in.

Delighted to announce the very popular Adlestrop Village Open Day will take place this year on Sunday 9th June – so please do put it in your diaries.  We had a village meeting last night to discuss and it was great to see committee member Jinnie Holt in such good form.

Jinnie has lived in the village for many years and is sister to Peter Walwyn.  Amongst her many gifts is that she is a fantastic artistic who has sculpted many of the great thoroughbreds including Mill Reef and Dawn Run.  Like her brother, Jinnie is always great fun to be around.

Former assistant, Gordon Clarkson loves to come up with an Irish Cheltenham outsider and believes that Coney Island in the Ryanair at 40-1, no run, no bet looks a steal.  Trained by the Hartys, the horse has some very decent form over 2 1/2 miles and with the stable back in form – Gordy could well be right.
