We are looking forward to hopefully having some runners at the end of the week and will make more definite plans once we know opposition and ground conditions.

It was a snowy, frosty morning when I saw first lot in action before heading off to trainer George Baker’s yard.

George and I very fortunately are being allowed to buy a horse each for the Carbine Club of London’s new racing syndicate.  As a member of the Carbine Club, it is a great opportunity for Adlestrop Stables and we look forward to buying them one that can create lots of success and fun over the next couple of seasons.

There are many great names in the syndicate and George and I will do our best to give them some entertainment through summers and winters.

It was great to have lunch with George and Candida, Carbine Club Chairman Peter Jenson and the Club’s ever efficient treasurer and communicator Terry McCaughey.  It was a great to put the finishing touches to our plan and all concerned are determined to make it a memorable venture.

I was kindly a guest of Bob and Pauline Scott to the PDC Darts Awards at the Dorchester on Monday night.  It’s always a great evening and I was fortunate enough to sell a few shares at the event in Bob and Pauline’s syndicate horse by Sixties Icon.
