Totterdown didn’t appear to get the trip yesterday at Taunton.  Although he has been staying on in his races in the past, Richard Johnson reported that he jumped very well and would make a smashing chaser over two miles on soft ground.

Hopefully next season he will go chasing and in the meantime we will return him to two miles and hope that we find some soft ground.

He has done everyone proud and I am sure there is a lot to look forward to with him.

Juan Horsepower runs at 3pm at Southwell today.  He has plenty of miles on his clock and I think he has his own ideas about the game but hopefully this trip will suit him better today.

Lady Of Authority is declared at Lingfield on Saturday in the 1 mile 2 furlong handicap.  Having won at Wolverhampton over the trip, she didn’t appear to get home over 1 mile 4 and hopefully a return to her winning distance will give her a chance on Saturday.

I have been put on a Whats App group to promote the local point to point at Cocklebarrow on Sunday 27th January.  Nessie Chanter who is helping to promote the day and clerk of course at Stratford asked us to mention this on our blogs.

There was much abuse amongst various trainers on the group which I refrained from joining in on – but look forward to seeing everyone there on what is a very entertaining afternoon.
