A very fruitful schooling morning with Tom Bellamy coming in to help Danny Hiskett et al.  Lovely ground to school on and it was great to give them some practice on the grass.

Totterdown is declared at Sandown on Sunday in the two mile handicap hurdle.  There are 22 runners and it’s competitive as ever.  It will be interesting to see how Totterdown gets on in his first handicap and we will see if the handicapper has assessed him correctly.

The ground should be just on the easy side and hopefully the track will suit him if he settles.

It was great to attend Cornelius Lysaght’s book signing last night at the Pougatch’s.  Both Lysaght and Pougatch have been great supporters of the yard and it was good to meet up with some local friends.

The book ‘World Racecourses’ is an ideal Christmas gift for those of us that like unusual and interesting facts about our great sport.
