We have computer problems in the office which hopefully will be resolved shortly but hence no blog yesterday.
Bella’s Vision ran better than the face result at Plumpton on Monday. Once again it was a slowly run race and she was unable to quicken once the pace was turned on. We will try more prominent tactics with other headgear on her next run.
It was great to welcome Rick Allen’s friends Chunky, Ray and Pauline (pictured) to the gallops this morning having won the prize in a raffle at a recent charity event.
The string are working nicely and the rain that is here is much needed for most of them. Hopefully we can now get some schooling done on the grass this week.
We have entered Totterdown for Sandown on Sunday in the two mile handicap and we will see if the handicapper’s assessment is correct.
It was great to attend the Carbine Club of London’s AGM on Monday evening. Delighted that the Club are getting a syndicate together to have a jumper at Adlestrop Stables.
There are some great members of the syndicate including Club President, Lord Vestey and Chairman Peter Jensen.
Once again Club member JA McGrath gave a phantom call of the Melbourne Cup to the assembled. Having tipped last year’s winner, he so nearly did again with Marmelo. However he would have been delighted with the actual winner now that he works for Godolphin.
