Great to welcome lots of visitors to the gallops this morning, including Hannah Lewis-Jones, Martin Newman and the Boseley family.  With Tom Bellamy in to ride out, we jumped a few of the youngsters in the school and all are progressing well.

We won’t have any entries until next weekend but it’s good to have Cheltenham back today, launching the start of the real winter jumps season.  As ever, competitive stuff as it continues to be jumping’s mecca.

Looking forward to seeing Magna Grecia run in tomorrow’s Futurity Trophy at Doncaster.  He looked extremely promising at Newmarket and went straight into the notebook.  This son of Invincible Spirit looks a real one in the making.

Horse profiles for your five to follow entries today are:

WESTERN STORM

Western Storm was runner up in two three mile handicaps at Worcester in the summer and was unlucky not to get his head in front.  He maybe best suited by frontrunning tactics and may have some headgear on to help him next time.  He jumps very well and may well go novice chasing during the season.  He definitely has talent and hopefully it won’t be long before he is in the winners enclosure.

UNNAMED 2016 HELMET FILLY

This daughter of Helmet has always worked nicely and after a summer break has now returned to Adlestrop.  Hopefully we will be able to get her on the all-weather this winter and she looks the type to progress now she has been allowed to mature further.  She has a nice pedigree and is an enthusiast in all she does.

UNNAMED 2016 CANFORD CLIFFS FILLY

Purchased last autumn, this filly was given time to mature this summer following an education in the spring.  She has done a fair bit of growing and strengthening over the last few months and moves and travels nicely in her work.  Her mother won over a mile as a two year old on the all-weather in December and hopefully she will  be a similar type.

That concludes the horses, so please do get your entries in soon as the competition starts next week on 1st November.  For more details see HERE.
