Arctic Chief ran on well after the last to finish fifth, beaten four lengths at Uttoxeter yesterday.  They didn’t go much of a pace early on and after being out-paced turning for home, he stayed on well after the last.

A stronger pace and a step up in trip could well help him and hopefully we can find something for him in the next few weeks.

We spent this morning jumping some of the string in the outdoor school, getting their eye back in for the coming season.

The schooling ground needs a bit of rain, like all schooling grounds in Britain but some showjumping doesn’t do them any harm.

A lovely piece on Irene Rogers in the Racing Post this week, with tributes coming from Sir AP McCoy and Andrew Thornton.  Delighted to contribute to Irene’s memorial fund details of which are HERE
