Western Storm ran with credit yesterday at Uttoxeter.  Having been off the racecourse with various niggles for some time, it was pleasing to see him blow away a few cobwebs and finish the race nicely following such a lengthy absence.

With that run under his belt, hopefully we can now step him up in trip and he will reward his very patient owners this summer.

Two flat runners today with Madame Ritz at Wolverhampton in the 3.45pm and Lady Of Authority in the 6pm at Windsor.

Madame Ritz couldn’t cope with the undulations of Leicester and hopefully will do better now back over course and distance that she won on earlier in the year.  Andrew Balding’s promising apprentice William Cox, takes off a valuable five pounds.

Lady Of Authority steps up in trip at Windsor as there are not many opportunities around for her at present and it will be interesting to see how she gets on switching to the turf.
