Horse Welfare Week
Looking forward to having some runners next week with Brave Helios and Sheelbewhatsheelbe entered at Huntingdon on Monday.
Magic Circle was the impressive winner of the Henry II at Sandown last night, in what was a very entertaining evening of racing. We tried to buy him at the sales at the end of last year but unfortunately didn’t have enough dosh. He looks to be an improving type.
My horses to follow list includes Without Parole who won the Heron Stakes on ground he would not have loved and hopefully he will add further points at Royal Ascot.
Looking forward to going to the Derby next week and have both the first and second favourites in my list. Also have The Pentagon and I think he might be an each-way bet at 20-1.
Well done The Racing Post for covering horse welfare week. There are many people devoting a lot of time and effort to the subject and it’s great that the wider industry are made aware of this.
A vast majority of racehorses have a charmed existence and are given the best of everything. The more the public know this, the more they will love our sport.
