Rain rain go away

We worked many of the string this morning.  Getting them ready for runs but it’s difficult to know when that will be thanks to the weather.

News through already that Stratford is off at the weekend, however we have made a few entries for the all-weather, along with other jumps trainers for Wolverhampton on Tuesday.

Once the ground has dried up, racing will be very competitive as I imagine most trainers are in the some position.

I had lunch with owner Sue Welch today as she was on the way back from Batsford Stud, having dropped one of her many mares off there for foaling.

Sue is a very successful and enthusiastic breeder and pleased to report that our mare Giovanna, is hopefully in foal to Blue Bresil.

It was great to see on my visit to Plumpton on Sunday, Stop The Show’s name on a Pride of Plumpton paving stone at the entrance to the course.

The ex Adlestrop Club horse is having a wonderful retirement in Epsom, thanks to Kate Johnson who rode him in a Cheltenham charity race on one occasion.
