Adlestrop Club Cheltenham Preview
Thankfully the snow has near enough cleared and we are gradually getting back to normal. We have made entries for the weekend, as ever with a bit of a snow break there are a large number of entries.
Delighted to be a guest of owner Nicholas Cooper at yesterday’s Cheltenham Festival lunch in London. This lunch has been taking place for over twenty years under the auspices of Fos Archer. It has been a source of great information in the past and hopefully yesterday will prove to be the same again.
It was great to sit next to owner Alan Spence. Like myself he is a Surrey man and one of the first horses he owned was the great Freight Forwarder trained by Arthur Pitt. He won many races and was always a favourite of mine and many others.
Alan has a couple of fancies next week including On The Blind Side and Kilcrea Vale and we wish him luck. Nick Cooper has not been well recently and we hope he will be on the mend soon.
Last night was The Adlestrop Club Cheltenham Preview. Many thanks to all of you who came along. Unfortunately J Francome could not make it as his father Norman had a fall at home and we wish him a speedy recovery.
Alastair Down made his debut on the panel and came out with some fascinating information. Not all connected with backing winners at Cheltenham. Thanks to the generosity of Corals, the panel were given a £50 charity bet each and hopefully will raise a few quid for Racing Welfare.
