Another excellent run from Madame Ritz

Madame Ritz ran another excellent race yesterday at Southwell.  Jockey Joe Fanning said she would definitely get six furlongs but that in the right race, she would also be competitive over five, so we will look for something for her in February.

She looks like being a real fun horse for The Firebirds syndicate and there is still one share available in her.

It was good to put up Joe Fanning as we both worked together at Henry Candys in a previous century.  Joe is a great man and a great jockey and we look forward to him riding for us again soon.

It was good to welcome owners Paul and Carole Mainstone to the gallops this morning with Carol’s father, John.  As members of The Adlestrop Club, they saw Master Vintage (pictured) on the gallops on what was a wonderfully clear, frosty morning.

Carole has turned to writing in her retirement and under the name Harriet Redfern and her debut novel Tabikat, based in the world of horse racing, is highly recommended.
